If you are a community physician or in a community-based clinical team, TOP can help you implement evidence-based changes by helping you redesign your personal influences.
If you are charged with implementing a clinical change to community-based physicians/clinics, we can help you understand and design your program for best effect for both you and the clinics.
If you are looking for a team to help implement changes, TOP is a very cost-effective way to make things happen.

The Model for Improvement is the framework TOP uses to guide improvement work within clinics and practices. This model is a simple, yet powerful tool for accelerating improvement and is not meant to replace change models that organizations may already be using, but rather to accelerate improvement.
At its core, TOP's mandate is to influence clinical behaviors toward evidence-based practice. TOP's audience is physicians and the teams with whom they work. In particular, TOP is charged with supporting community-based clinics in both primary and specialty care. Facility-based clinics have access to resources through Alberta Health Services.
We don't like to think of ourselves as being "influenced". But it happens all the time. As drivers, we are influenced by speed signs, traffic lights and the possibility of tickets. We use recipes in cooking, rules in sports and laws in our contracts. These are positive influences designed to maximize our safety and enjoyment. They are necessary cues in our environment.
Influencing clinical behaviors is like that. It is not about persuasion. It is about providing the cues to take the right actions, at the right time and there is a science to influence.
