- Abstract: Alberta accounts for about 85% of Canada’s sour gas production with the majority of sour gas deposits found along the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains. While occupational and non-occupational exposures to raw and/or flared sour gas from oil and gas operations are rare, there have been cases reported within in the province, as well as other jurisdictions during the past 50 years.
