  • Abstract: Peptic ulcer disease is a chronic condition of the stomach or duodenum. This guideline provides recommendations for the eradication of H.pylori and the management of peptic ulcer disease
  • Target Population: Adult patients with a proven diagnosis of H.pylori associated peptic ulcer; positive for H.pylori with C13 UBT but no alarm features and not taking NSAIDs; patients prior to long term use of NSAIDs when UBT is positive.
  • Exclusions:
    • • Children <18 years
    • • Pregnant/lactating women
  • Working Group Membership: Family physicians, general practitioners, gastroenterologists, pediatric gastroenterologists, pathologist, radiologist, radiation oncologist, infectious disease specialist, representatives from the public and the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association
