  • Abstract: This guideline assists healthcare providers and women in the implementation of uniform and consistent recommendations for cervical cancer screening in Alberta. It also provides information on pap test preparation, pap test results, and pap tests in special circumstances. 
  • Target Population: All women aged 21 or approximately three years after first intimate sexual activity, whichever occurs later.
    • Working Group Membership: Anatomical pathologists, family physicians, RNs, pathologists, obstetricians and gynecologists, community medicine, Alberta Health Services
