  • Abstract: These guidelines make recommendations for diagnosis, prevention and management of acute bronchitis and acute exacerbations of COPD
  • Target Population: Adults and children with signs of acute bronchitis OR adults with COPD and signs of exacerbation.
  • Exclusions:
    • • Any patient with underlying lung disease
    • • Immunocompromised patients
    • • Those with significant underlying systemic disease
    Working Group Membership: Family physicians, infectious disease specialists, internal medicine, pediatricians, microbiologist, hospital and community pharmacists, epidemiologist, consumers, Alberta Health and Wellness representative
