In February 2014, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOCG) published national guidelines and rationale based on the emerging evidence regarding a more accurate gestational age measurement using ultrasound biometry, and its importance to effectively manage pregnancy from the first trimester to delivery. The users of this guideline are primary care providers/physicians, midwives, obstetricians, gynecologists and radiologists. This guideline has been adapted with permission of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada from Butt K, Lim K, et al, Determination of Gestational Age by Ultrasound.
