SCOPE: Summary

ABSTRACT: 
Alberta accounts for about 85% of Canada’s sour gas production with the majority of sour gas deposits found along the eastern foothills of the Rocky Mountains. While occupational and non-occupational exposures to raw and/or flared sour gas from oil and gas operations are rare, there have been cases reported within in the province, as well as other jurisdictions during the past 50 years.

TARGET POPULATION: 
Any patient exposed to sour gas.
