ABSTRACT: 
This guideline assists physicians and patients to make informed decisions about PSA testing as a screening tool and the appropriate use of PSA testing for follow-up in men who have had prostate cancer

TARGET POPULATION: 
• The appropriate use of PSA testing can include: follow-up of a man with prostate cancer; evaluation of a man with an abnormal DRE, evaluation of a man with lower urinary tract symptoms
• PSA testing should be discussed with men at higher risk for the development of prostate cancer and men who express a concern about the development of prostate cancer

EXCLUSIONS: Men with a life expectancy of less than 10 years
