SCOPE: Assessment, testing and prevention

ABSTRACT: 
This summary of the 2002 clinical practice guidelines for the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis in Canada provides information on who to assess and who to test for osteoporosis as well as who should not be tested.  It also describes who is at risk for fractures and treatment options.

TARGET POPULATION: 
• All persons over age 65
• All post menopausal women
• All persons with risk factors
