SCOPE: Management

ABSTRACT: 
Peptic ulcer disease is a chronic condition of the stomach or duodenum. This guideline provides recommendations for the eradication of h.pylori and the management of peptic ulcer disease.

TARGET POPULATION: 
Adult patients with a proven diagnosis of h.pylori associated peptic ulcer; positive for h.pylori with C13 UBT but no alarm features and not taking NSAIDs; patients prior to long term use of NSAIDs when UBT is positive.

EXCLUSIONS: 
• Children <18 years
• Pregnant/lactating women
