SCOPE: Diagnosis and management

ABSTRACT: 
Guideline to assist with the investigation and management of erectile dysfunction. Discusses history taking, focused physical exams, and laboratory studies. The guideline stresses the importance of counseling of the patient +/- partner and provides information of therapy.

TARGET POPULATION: 
Men who are unable to have or sustain an erection adequate for satisfactory sexual activity for at least 3 months

EXCLUSIONS: 
This guideline does not apply to those patients with:
• Other forms of sexual dysfunction (i.e., lack of sexual desire, premature ejaculation)
• Peyronie’s Disease not associated with erectile dysfunction
