ABSTRACT: 
This summary of the 2003 national recommendations for the management of dyslipidemia and the prevention of cardiovascular disease provides an approach for risk assessment and management of patients with suspected dyslipidemia.

TARGET POPULATION: 
Men over 40, and women >50 or postmenopausal, or patients with risk factors.
