ABSTRACT: 
This summary of the Canadian Thoracic Society: Adult Asthma Consensus Guidelines (Update 2003) provides information on the diagnosis and management of chronic asthma in children and adults.  The summary provides information on patient education as well the management of asthma in special populations: pregnancy, infants, and the elderly.
